Overview

Gallagher is seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Content Editor to join and take a leadership role within our dynamic Digital Web Team. Reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Web Content Manager, this role is focused on not only managing and executing web content but also leading initiatives, driving collaboration, and representing the web team across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with enterprise content management systems, such as Sitecore, a strong understanding of HTML and CSS, and exceptional communication and leadership skills.

As a Lead Content Editor, you will take ownership of web content processes, lead meetings, and act as a key liaison between the web team and stakeholders across all teams. You will proactively identify challenges, find solutions, and ensure seamless coordination and execution of web projects.



This role requires a strategic thinker who can represent the web team, understand all processes, and drive innovation and efficiency.

How you’ll make an impact

- Collaborate with Web Project Managers in helping manage web content projects and tickets using the Workfront ticketing system, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks while prioritizing team goals.
- Build, update, and manage pages, campaigns, and assets within the content management system (Sitecore) for Gallagher’s digital web properties, ensuring high-quality execution and adherence to WCAG accessibility best practices.
- Oversee full site builds, including pages, forms, multi-lingual versions, and other components, from start to finish, while ensuring quality through thorough self-reviews and clean HTML components.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Automation team to develop and test gated and ungated campaign pages, including form integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Act as a key point of contact for cross-functional teams, including Marketing Automation, Content, Analytics, and SEO, to deliver effective web solutions aligned with strategic goals.
- Lead meetings and represent the web team in discussions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear communication of priorities, challenges, and solutions.
- Proactively identify challenges across teams, propose solutions,



and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth within the team.
- Maintain a deep understanding of all web processes and workflows, ensuring seamless coordination and the ability to speak on behalf of the web team.

About you

- Extensive experience updating and managing content within web-based content management systems, ideally an enterprise, component-based CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager or Sitecore.
- Strong understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Proven experience with ticketing systems such as Workfront, with the ability to manage workflows, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, represent team priorities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Digital, Marketing Automation, Content, Analytics, and SEO teams.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team‑oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability and ownership of tasks.
