About The Role

We are looking for a Disbursement Analyst obsessed with making our money transfer experience “insanely great.” You’ll be the guardian of our disbursement efficiency, working closely with Disbursements, Operations, and Product Managers to ensure transactions are fast, cost‑effective, and flawless.



Your investigative skills will help uncover why a transaction was held or where a routing defect occurred, turning findings into product improvements for millions of Latino immigrants.

Responsibilities

- Build and maintain dashboards in BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker) to track optimal disbursement rails across core metrics: NPS, Retention, Cost, and Success Rates.
- Deep dive into transactions to identify, categorize, and quantify system defects or held transfers, leading initiatives to reduce these defects.
- Handle leadership ad‑hoc requests, investigating complex routing issues and translating raw data into actionable insights.
- Proactively evaluate alternate routing paths, balancing cost, speed, and reliability to optimize across multiple KPIs.
- Translate complex disbursement and operational metrics into human‑readable stories for stakeholders, showing how defect reduction improves user experience on WhatsApp.
- Identify opportunities for business improvement, flag them to the team, and monitor impacts over time.

Qualifications

- 5+ years as a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Operations Analyst, ideally in Fintech, Payments, or Product‑focused teams.
- 1‑2+ years measuring payment rails, transaction routing, or operational KPIs; comfortable discussing success rates, cost analysis, and the trade‑offs between speed and cost.
- Strong SQL skills (BigQuery, DBT, Firestore)



and experience with BI tools such as Omni, Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, or similar.
- Startup mindset: proactive, action‑oriented, and willing to fix problems without waiting for permission.
- Excellent communication, able to explain a 1% drop in success rates to non‑technical stakeholders and its impact on NPS and Retention.
- Advanced English and Spanish or Portuguese (critical for analyzing user nuances and collaborating with Latin‑American partners).

Nice to Have

- Python proficiency for data manipulation (Pandas/NumPy) to model complex routing scenarios.
- Familiarity with GCP services such as BigQuery, Vertex AI, or Cloud Storage.
- Experience in high‑growth fintechs, payments, or cross‑border money movement companies.
- Curiosity about global payment rails and the latest fintech infrastructure.
