Purpose

Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Technology Operations is responsible for the operations engineering required to provide highly available and resilient systems. In GTS Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), we are responsible for providing critical data platform services, following SRE and data governance best practices, as well as consulting and coordinating with the Bank’s technology teams to meet business expectations.

Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- You have a keen interest in uncovering root causes through blameless post-mortems and acting on findings.
- You will interact with the Product owner, business,



and technology partners to maintain and prioritize the product backlog, coordinating delivery through release planning, solution design, development, and delivery.
- You will be responsible for deployment of PROD releases and be involved in the gating activities for functional and non-functional test planning, design, and execution.
- After-hours support may be required for the monthly releases.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Integral Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.
