Siemens Energy Inc - Grid Automation Americas is searching for a Senior Bid Engineer located in Colombia to work with a passion for customer engagement and satisfaction.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a dedicated team selling the best Grid Automation solutions in the market. Senior Bid Engineer will support proposals activity for Grid Automation Solutions in a general environment and report directly to Director Tender Management in United States.The role will require close coordination and teamwork with Business Development / Sales / Engineering / Procurement resources during the acquisition phase of assigned projects.

How You will Make an Impact
- Develop proposals for EPCs and end customers within the domain of control and protection systems for HV/MV substation by conducting thorough analysis and review customer specification encompassing software and hardware for substation protection, SCADA, and automation systems.




- Ensure high-quality and timely preparation of proposals in alignment with customer requirements while maintaining close coordination with technical experts.
- Develop proposals in an autonomous way, including selection of IEDs, BOMs, third party solutions and control system hardware.
- Create, edit, and compose original proposal responses and other sales-related documents.
- Prepare bid calculations and risk assessments, presenting them to management for approval in compliance with business unit approval processes during bid preparation.

What You Bring
- Professional university degree in Electrical Engineering, Control and Automation Technology or similar.
- Possess 7-10 years of experience with substation control and protection systems in Energy Transmission and Distribution.
- Solid understanding of the Power Distribution/Transmission market and technologies, particularly in Substation Protection and Control, Automation, and SCADA/RTU.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of an intercultural tea
