The DBaaS (Database-as-a-Service) team delivers database administration and operational support across Empresa confidencial applications globally.

Summary of the role:

The Database Administrator will assist the database operations team in the implementation, configuration, security, maintenance, and performance tuning/monitoring of the Empresa confidencial database tier as assigned. The focus of this role is to ensure the availability and performance of existing and future enterprise applications, through the use of database technology.




You will partner closely with cross-functional teams that include Development, Product and Architecture, to ensure delivery of our applications at the highest level of quality and performance.

In this role you’ll:
- Plan and deploy database clusters for multi-terabyte workloads, focusing on high-availability and fault-tolerance (including multi-site HA).
- Ensure storage, archiving, backup, and recovery procedures are operating correctly, including disaster recovery.
- Maintain & upgrade database clusters, to comply with appropriate patch level, kernel patching and security standards
- ​(PCIDSS / SOC / ISO27K).
- Monitor performance and tune database parameters for optimal experience.
- Investigate incidents, debug problems, and provide recovery solutions in 24x7 operations.
- Development Lifecycle (SDLC), from development to critical Production systems.
- Operate databases both on-premises and on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
