Junior Backend Developer

Location: Remote in Latam
Job Type: Full-Time Employee or Contractor
Contract Type: Full-time Colombian Labor Contract

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs.
- Ensure system scalability, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and other team members to define and integrate APIs.
- Troubleshoot and debug backend systems, ensuring high availability.
- Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical discussions.

Technical Requirements
- +1 year of experience with at least one backend language (Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or C#).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.




- Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

General Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Fluent English (B2+), both written and spoken.
- Proactive communication, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work in Agile teams.
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work in distributed teams.
