Job Title: Snowflake Developer

Location: Bogota, Colombia

Employment Type: Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end Snowflake data solutions across all three major flows: Ingestion Flow, Transformation Flow, and Consumption / Reporting Flow. The idóneo candidate should have hands-on experience building scalable cloud data warehouse solutions and optimizing Snowflake environments for enterprise analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Ingestion Flow
- Design and develop data ingestion pipelines into Snowflake from multiple source systems.
- Implement batch and real-time ingestion using Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and COPY commands.
- Configure external/internal stages for loading structured and semi-structured data.
- Build and maintain automated ingestion workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ingestion failures and performance issues.

Transformation Flow
- Develop complex SQL transformations and ELT pipelines within Snowflake.
- Build staging, curated, fact, and dimension data models.




- Create stored procedures, views, UDFs, and tasks.
- Perform data cleansing, enrichment, aggregation, and validation.
- Optimize query performance and warehouse utilization.
- Handle semi-structured data such as JSON, XML, Avro, and Parquet.

Consumption / Reporting Flow
- Develop reporting-ready datasets and data marts.
- Support BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker.
- Implement secure data sharing and role-based access controls.
- Optimize reporting queries and dashboard performance.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver analytics solutions.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Expertise in Snowflake Architecture and Data Warehousing
- Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Stored Procedures
- Advanced SQL and Performance Tuning skills
- Experience with Data Modeling concepts
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with semi-stru
