Role Purpose

Lead the company’s legal and compliance function as a strategic advisor to leadership. This role is responsible for protecting the company’s interests, managing legal and regulatory risk, and enabling business growth through strong governance, contracts, and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Governance
- Lead the company’s legal strategy aligned with business goals.
- Advise leadership on fundraising, M&A;, restructurings, and corporate matters.
- Oversee subsidiaries, governance documentation, and corporate records.

Commercial Contracts
- Negotiate and review commercial agreements with banks, fintechs, payment networks, clients, and vendors.
- Structure key legal terms including IP, liability, SLAs, exclusivity, and payment terms.





Regulatory & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial consumer protection and advertising regulations.
- Review campaigns and marketing materials to ensure alignment with legal and brand requirements.

Privacy & Intellectual Property
- Lead compliance with LATAM privacy regulations and GDPR where applicable.
- Manage privacy policies, data agreements, trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and creative asset ownership.

Risk & Internal Operations
- Coordinate external counsel and manage litigation or regulatory matters.
- Build legal risk mitigation frameworks and internal compliance policies.
- Support HR on hiring structures, compensation plans, equity programs, and internal governance policies.

Candidate Profile

Experience
- Law degree with active professional license.
- 10+ years in senior legal roles.
- Experience in banks, fintechs, payment networks, or regulated industries preferred.
