We're looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a deep-tech project developing AI-driven simulation software for advanced engineering and manufacturing industries.The goal of this project is to accelerate hardware innovation through intelligent, high-fidelity simulations — enabling engineers to design, optimize, and manufacture products faster and smarter across domains like aerospace, energy, and automotive.This role is idóneo for a self-driven and proactive engineer who thrives in an evolving environment where not everything is structured or predefined.
You'll work with a small, talented team on complex technical challenges, take full ownership of your deliverables, and have the freedom to shape solutions from concept to deployment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain backend services using Python (FastAPI, REST API).
Build, containerize, and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes.Implement GitOps workflows and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.Collaborate closely with frontend, AI/ML,



and cloud engineers to integrate components smoothly.Ensure solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable in AWS cloud environments.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code — and proactively suggest improvements across the stack.RequirementsExpertise in Python, including FastAPI and REST API development.Hands‐on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and cloud deployments (AWS preferred).
Solid understanding of software architecture, testing, and performance optimization.Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.A self‐sufficient, proactive mindset — comfortable working in a fast‐moving, less‐structured startup environment where documentation is still evolving.Fluent in English.Nice to HaveExperience with 3D geometry data or computational simulation.Familiarity with infrastru
