About the RoleAs a Rating Analyst you'll be an individual contributor on the team working with Financial Institution issuers.
You'll build strong relationships with issuers and teammates, and under direct management analyze routine and some non‐routine analytical or business problems, develop industry knowledge, and identify risk factors.Responsibilities and ImpactYou'll have exposure partnering with investors and issuers, responding to questions, participating in meetings and visits with debt issuers in Colombia and Panama.
You'll prepare materials for BRC Ratings and a Global publication and participate in ad hoc projects.Analyze financial statements of medium‐sized or complex issuer companies with support from manager and senior analyst.Conduct surveillance of rated debt issues and issuers' ratings, potentially acting as primary analyst for less complex entities.Demonstrate understanding of rating principles, working knowledge of BRC S&P; Ratings criteria,
and contribute to researching criteria development.Conduct credit analysis using BRC Ratings - S&P; Integral's methodology, Excel, financial models, and statement analysis.Maintain a centralized news source, including digital media, and conduct industry monitoring research.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.Postgraduate studies in a business‐related field preferred.At least 3 years of experience in market or credit risk analysis, FP&A;, Accounting, Investment, Economics, or related field.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.Strong verbal and written communication skills, bilingual in English and Spanish.Familiarity with the Colombian market required.Detail oriented and organized.BenefitsHealth & Wellness benefits.
