About the roleOfferUp is seeking a backend Engineer to become part of the Advertising team.
This dedicated team is responsible for creating advertising platforms to facilitate both ad serving and measurement, as well as building systems to drive personalization of both ad selection and ad experience across all demand sources (first‐party and third‐party).

As a Software Development Engineer in our team, you will own and execute the delivery of sub‐features, participate in architecture discussions, and do regular code reviews.
You'll be responsible for working with our Product, Client Developers, backend peers, and Biz ops experts to come up with new efficient, scalable solutions and iterate on existing ones.This role is only available outside the US and not available to any individual based within the US or any US territory.What you will get to doCollaborate with cross‐functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and/or iterations of existing featuresContribute to developing the technical strategy for Catalog platform/FeaturesDevelop, test, release, and document code using best software engineering practices to ensure timely service delivery and ease of maintenanceHelp maintain code quality, organization, and automationCollaborate if needed with third‐party providers, and evaluate/debug/implement 3rd party SDKsIdentify, track, and find solutions to software defects identified both internally and externallyYou'll Thrive In This Role If You Have2+ years of professional software development experienceHighly motivated with a history of delivering quality codeStrong coding skills in any one of the following: Java, Python,
