The firm supports clients throughout the full process, from initial applications to appeals, ensuring proper documentation and consistent case follow up.
As the firm continues to expand across multiple practice areas, they are looking to bring in experienced professionals who can support specialized case types with a high level of accuracy and client care.About the Role:The client is seeking a Legal Assistant with direct experience in Veterans Law to support both intake and ongoing case management.
This role involves working closely with veterans, gathering and reviewing documentation, assisting with claims and appeals processes, and maintaining consistent communication throughout the lifecycle of each case.
The adecuado candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and already familiar with VA procedures, terminology,



and timelines.Key ResponsibilitiesVeterans Client Intake and CommunicationHandle incoming calls from prospective and existing veteran clientsScreen and qualify clients based on VA disability eligibility criteriaGuide clients through intake questionnaires specific to veterans claimsProvide consistent updates and support to clients throughout their caseVeterans Case Coordination and Follow UpEnsure all required documentation is collected, reviewed, and properly submittedMaintain timelines and deadlines specific to veterans casesCRM and Documentation ManagementMaintain accurate and up to date records of all client interactionsUpload and organize medical records, service records, and supporting documentationEnsure case files are complete and compliant with VA requirementsTrack key case milestones and updates in the systemQualifications & SkillsMustFluent in English with strong communication skillsMinimum of 2 years of experience working specifically in Veterans LawHands on experience handling VA disability claims and or appealsStrong understanding of VA processes, terminology, and documentation requirementsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage complex case informationAbility to manage multiple cases in a structured and deadline driven environmentHigh level of accountability and reliabilityPreferredExperience working with VA accredited attorneys or representativesSpanish speaking is a plusFamiliarity with VA systems, forms, and submission processesExperience in high volume legal environmentsAssociate's Degree or higherPersonality TraitsStrong sense of responsibility when working with veteran clientsEmpathetic and patient communicatorHighly organized and process drivenProactive and able to work with minimal supervisionCoachable and open to feedbackConsistent, reliable, and detail oriented
