Job Summary

Minimum Training and Education
Associate's Degree in Nursing.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
Life Support Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) – certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking continuously.
Ability to climb stairs (infrequent) and walk in confined or cramped spaces (frequent).
Ability to work indoors, outdoors in temperature extremes (infrequent), from elevated areas (frequent), and in latex‐safe environments (continuous).




Ability to bend and twist at the waist (continuous), squat (frequent), and kneel (infrequent).
Ability to perform pinching operations, gross motor activities, and fine manipulation with fingers and hands (continuous), and to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders (continuous).
Ability to reach overhead (frequent), in all directions (continuous).
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
unassisted (infrequent), and lift/lower 50 lbs.
from/to floor at 36 inches unassisted (infrequent).
Ability to exert up to 50 lbs.
