Job SummaryLearn and assist in the drive for sustainable profitable sales and market share growth by identifying customer needs and opportunities.
Enable solid customer relationships, support and coordinate IFF sales related activities to promote relevant solutions for a given geography or customer.
Work under supervision on assigned accounts and/or support on strategic customers / general categories and be accountable for assigned commercial results.ResponsibilitiesSupport in building knowledge of specific market, customer environment and specific customer activities, strategies, brands, markets, consumers via all available sourcesBuild relationships with customer decision makers/influencers by holding regular meetingsDevelop understanding of customer decision making criteriaTimely and accurately document customer visits and insightsCommunicate client supply chain objectives, processes, organization, scorecards to IFF OperationsConsult with customer service on key customer supply issues and agree on communication/implementation plan with support of line management for more complex issues/solutionsPropose optimal working capital management (payment terms agreements, monthly awareness of AR status and support/intervene when required) with support of line managementIn collaboration with colleagues, understand customer regulatory requirements/changes and regularly inform General Regulatory Assurance and IC & DDemonstrate IFF Culture Principles and ValuesCollaborate with colleagues, customers,
and stakeholders across functions and geographies to achieve a common goalBuild meaningful relationships and networks across the organizationDrive personal development to gain the experience and competence required to independently manage accountsProactively solicit feedback to drive continuous development and personal growthIdentify and prospect customer opportunities and build Account Plans for allocated customer portfolioPropose optimal sales channel and relevant service model for identified prospect/account/opportunityExecute successfully against account plan giving early warning to any threats to deliver itUnderstand the assigned sales and profit margin targetsIdentify and request the required account resourcesQualify business opportunities with input from Innovation, Creation and Design(IC & D) and Cost to Serve guidelines with support of line managerPromote bank/product portfolioProvide detailed project insight (Customer/Internal perspective) to the team in order to clearly define brief parameters and capture them in Project management systemOrganize a formal commercial kick off and finalize action plan and timetable, and keep all relevant stakeholders updatedEvaluate on final submissions together with other team membersGenerate proposal/price with approval of reporting manager,
aligned with category margin guidelines or pricing officerPrepare and coordinate presentation materials with support of line management and/or MarketingDefine and stage a submission presentation that maximizes IFF commercial advantage and resourcesSolicit and communicate customer feedback on proposalEnsure optimal engagement of customer network/influencers with support of line managementCommunicate project results and/or organize internal debriefCoordinate win/loss analysis and share project learnings via Project management system with support of line managementUpdate sales forecast tool (SFT) regularly to ensure high level of accuracy and provide manager with timely updatesMonitor account sales performance (monthly / quarterly / annually) and provide project updates to ManagerActively contribute to winning projectsControl expenses in line with BudgetImplement price increases in line with country / regional strategiesRequirementsMinimum 1 - 3 years of experience in sales, sales service, product development, account planning or marketing preferably in fragrance, cosmetics, FMCG, flavors, chemical or ingredients industriesAbility to understand basic financial concepts/processes (pricing/margin/forecasting)Curiosity and passion with strong interests in sales, product development, consumers, and market understanding (Marketing/R&D;/CI)Basic fragrance knowledge and olfactive skills; where applicable, basic understanding of skin science and biologyGood communicator with negotiation and presentation skillsSelf‐driven with a track record for delivering resultsCollaborative and demonstrated team playerDigital savvy with an ability to leverage online resourcesEffective business English training / certificationsBachelor's degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Sciences or Engineering
