As a member of the Technology Group at Navitaire you will work closely with the OUR support teams, architects and product owners, all solutions are in Azure, to offer all Cloud services in our products.Summary of the roleThe Site Reliability Engineer (Data SRE) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, performance, and operability of data platforms and database technologies used across Navitaire products and services.The role combines strong DBA expertise, DataOps practices,



and SRE principles to operate data systems at scale, automate operations, and proactively prevent incidents.
The Data SRE works closely with Platform, Engineering, and Product teams to treat data platforms as reliable, observable, and resilient services.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure high availability, performance, efficiency and stability of data platforms (MS SQL Server, Couchbase, Redis, and Kafka).
Act as a technical escalation point for complex database and data‐related incidents.Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for data incidents and drive corrective and preventive actions.Define and monitor SLIs/SLOs for data platforms (availability, latency, throughput, saturation).
Contribute to on‐call.Key Focus AreasThis role has a strong focus on troubleshooting complex database and data‐related issues, automation, and continuous improvement, with exposure to cloud‐native environments (preferably Azure).
