Requisition ID: ******We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaGBSPurposeLeads and oversees General KYC in Colombia and the countries we support globally, ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.AccountabilitiesLeads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Support the Senior Manager, KYC in refreshing data and documentation for existing clients on an ongoing basis ensuring the Bank is compliant with regulatory obligations and bank-driven risk measures, policies, standards and proceduresLead and mentor a KYC/AML team of 8 to 12 direct reports, facilitating the refresh of clients in an efficient, compliant, and client‐centric mannerUtilize data and dashboards to effectively manage case volumes, assign work, and monitor team progress and qualityProvide clear, constructive and regular feedback to analysts, with a focus on personal and professional development.Championing a customer‐focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships with the business and relationship managers to obtain required informationCoordinating with internal teams and partners to prioritize urgent requests for information, establish response times, and prepare escalations where requiredPerforming ad‐hoc,

managing succession and development planning for the team.Reporting RelationshipsPrimary Manager: GBS GWO DirectorDirect Reports: Analyst, Global KYCSenior Analyst, Global KYCEducation / Experience / Other InformationMinimum 3‐5 years' experience in financial services and/ or KYC/AML/ATFUniversity degree in business, finance, law or other relevant field preferredSignificant preference will be placed on applicants having experience with large corporates, FIs or Capital Markets Regulation experience (IIROC) and/or Dealer Member experienceProficient with MS Office with experience in data analytics, metrics and reportingThe incumbent must have experience in and knowledge of current and expected future regulatory frameworks impacting clients onboardedA sound understanding of global banking and capital markets business is desired, as is a client‐centric approach to the role.
The incumbent should have broad knowledge of the end‐to‐end workflows among the Front, Middle, and Back OfficesAbility to produce high‐quality, error‐free work independently on a timely basis at expected ratesMust be able to operate effectively within a stressful environment with changing priorities and tight time frames which are closely scrutinized by Senior/Executive ManagementExcellent oral/written communication, relationship management, and time management skills are a mustMust have previous management experience, demonstrate teamwork, collaboration, responsiveness, accountability, and ownershipFast learner with strong analytical skills, and a continuous improvement and innovation mindsetHigh energy, demonstrated ability to work under pressure, deals well with ambiguities and uncertainties, and drives results
