Job DescriptionPayroll Officer for Colombia in the Controlling function is responsible for payroll accounting and general payroll administration.
You ensure all colleagues are paid in accordance with local laws and regulations and the established processing guidelines of the company.
You ensure compliance with all country payroll regulations, overseeing and maintaining the company's Payroll Platform/external Service providers, tax, and statistical reporting compliance for federal, state, and local jurisdictions.This role reports into our Payroll Lead for Colombia and is based out of the Bogotá Support Office.A Day in the LifeReview all new hires in the Payroll System to ensure accuracy and process any necessary corrections.Review and secure external providers invoicing (if needed).
Maintain master data and employee files (electronic or paper).
Process employee payroll changes, additional earnings such as overtime, shift allowances, salary changes (increases/decreases) and calculation of back pay (when applicable).
Verify payroll hours from the Time & Attendance system to ensure colleagues are being paid correctly.Process payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations.Follow up on employees' sick and vacation time and termination calculation in an accurate and reliable form.Ensure compliance with established controls by process.Control and ensure payment of third-party payroll (AFC, Voluntary Contributions, Garnishments, etc.).




Ensure all month end reporting completed and reported to all necessary parties.Administration of the area's mailbox for internal and external requests.Assist in projects directed by the Payroll Lead.Close collaboration with the Payroll Lead to secure area processes.Supports communication with colleagues on changes in salary, benefits or payroll process.May perform other activities related to the position.QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Technical study related with business administration, accounting, or similar.3+ years' experience in payroll administration and former experience leading outsourcing vendors.Experience executing and following up payroll processes.Must be able to effectively partner with personnel of organizational units involved (Controlling, HR, BT, Payroll, Stores and Global Organization) in order to attend payroll incidences.Knowledge of payroll tax laws in the base country.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills, time management, prioritizing, and ability to work with deadlines.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel is a requirement) and ability to adapt to Company specific systems.Why You'll Love Working at H&MWe; value diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, and disability.We pride ourselves on being a values‐driven organization,
