This role is part of our Project Delivery Group, which helps clients reach their business goals through a range of strong technical capabilities.
We ensure world‐class project delivery through the skills of our people, methodologies, governance, and systems.The Senior Instrumentation and Control Engineer will report to the Project Manager on small projects and, for larger projects, serve as the Control and Automation Lead Engineer and lead the design on these projects.




You will support our intermediate and junior engineers and designers in delivering projects which involve instrumentation and controls engineering.

schedule and proceduresReview shop drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designsMonitor fabrication and construction work to ensure it is executed in accordance with engineering designs, following contract and purchase order awardWitness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)Implement corrective action as requiredReview the outcome of quality audits of engineering work and perform remedial work in accordance with project procedures and the quality assurance planEnsure documentation and interdisciplinary coordination is implemented in accordance with project proceduresProvide a monthly update of the progress of engineering work packagesCompile Functional Control Specifications; perform programming of control systemsProvide senior reviews, support, and mentorship to intermediate and junior engineersEducation and QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Control Engineering from an accredited university10+ years project engineering experience; mining experience is an assetExperience in instrumentation, control and automation design/consultancy ideally within a large engineering or multidisciplinary project environmentRegistered as a professional engineer with EGBC (Engineers and Geoscientists BC)Hands‐on site experience; able to work independentlyAbility to work in a fast‐paced environment and resolve issuesAbility to take initiative and work independently and as part of a teamPLC/DCS programming experience (Rockwell preferred; DeltaV and ABB would be an asset)Sound knowledge of 3D data‐centric design systemsKnowledge and experience with data‐centric design systems, e.g., Smart Plant Instrumentation, is an assetAutoCAD experience; MicroStation is an assetAbility to delegate tasks and effectively supervise othersGood communic
