Purpose & Overall Relevance for the OrganizationIn the dynamic business environment, this position is responsible for creating and maintaining sustainable, accurate and efficient Accounting processes for the legal entity directing all Accounting activities and functions to ensure the integrity of the financial records.
This includes, but is not limited to, project Accounting lead, Accounting process creation and review, internal and external audit liaison for Accounting topics, oversight of financial records, month-end closing, financial statement preparation in compliance with international and local accounting standards and statutory requirements, and liaison between Finance and the Integral Business Services (GBS) function.Through engaging with our GBS (Integral Business Services) team, the role seeks to continuously identify opportunities for further collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the Accounting function by taking a key leadership role in the day-to-day management of the team, defining performance targets for the team members,
and monitoring team member performance and development.Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of the general ledger to ensure timely and accurate financials.Prepare complex and/or ad hoc journal entries, as required.Manage internal and external audit deliverables, delegating responsibility as necessary.Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.Drive application of Accounting policies to ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and local requirements.Partner with, and provide accounting expertise to, other finance teams and projects.Act as the primary GBS Liaison – responsible for market management of any GBS standardization initiatives and other globally driven projects.Responsible for understanding and ensuring the accuracy of all areas under GBS teams management and providing market expertise as requested.Support Group Taxes to ensure compli
