Whats unique about this job (What you'll do)The Manager of FP&A; is essential for enhancing PriceSmart's financial data infrastructure and analytical capabilities.
This role focuses on developing and standardizing FP&A; dashboards and reporting models to facilitate effective decision-making across the company.
Additionally, the Manager contributes to the continuous improvement of Planning Analytics (TM1) and ensures operational continuity during peak cycles or when the system administrator is absent.Technology, Data Visualization & Reporting LeadershipCreate executive‐ready dashboards and reports in Power BI or PowerPoint that clearly articulate trends, performance, and business implications.Turn complex data into clear, compelling visual stories that guide decision‐making.Establish visualization standards and champion best practices across FP&A.Continuously; refine models and automate processes to improve speed, accuracy, and usability.Identify inefficiencies and lead improvements that enhance automation, consistency, and data quality.Provide support to the TM1 administrator, ensuring continuity during peak cycles or when the primary admin is unavailable.Support model structure, data integrity, security, governance, and user experience.Oversee the TM1 support portal, drive timely issue resolution, and communicate updates effectively.Act as a key liaison between Finance end users and the Data IT team.Financial Reporting & AnalysisScenario Modeling & Sensitivity Analysis Build and refine analytical models to evaluate financial trends against internal and external factors, operational drivers, and business performance.Variance Analysis & Performance Oversight Lead the monthly "Close‐vs‐Forecast" process, identifying key drivers of over/underperformance in membership income, Logistics, and other areas as needed.Financial Presentations Prepare and analyze timely and accurate management results (PowerPoint)



in preparation for business reviews.Partnership & Other ResponsibilitiesMentor other team members in Power BI and technical skills related to data modeling, visualization standards, and effective analytics communication.Ad Hoc Business Case Support Provide financial validation for localized business initiatives, such as new product categories or regional marketing shifts.Bring your passion and expertise (Who you are)5+ years of experience in FP&A;, financial reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Strong, hands‐on experience and solid understanding of Planning Analytics (TM1) interface capabilities (PAX, TM1 Web, PAW, Architect), or similar financial planning system or Business Performance system.Superior knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel.Experience in a SOX‐compliant environment is highly desired.Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities.Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information that may be complex to others who may have limited knowledge of the subject in question.Information security awareness, dashboard design, and development.Solid problem‐solving and time management skills.Great interpersonal skills.Comfortable performing ad‐hoc research and analysis.Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and financial modeling skills.Detail‐oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem‐solving skills.Our CommitmentWe not only embrace and celebrate the diversity of our membership base and communities but also strive to achieve the same in our employees.
