We are currently seeking a Junior/Mid Accountant and Financial Controller to join one of our clients' teams.
If you're looking for an exciting opportunity to grow in an innovative environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.Reporting directly to our CFO, you will be responsible for:Daily Accounting OversightSupervise and manage daily accounting activities performed by the external accounting services provider.Ensure adherence to best accounting practices and take charge of complex bookkeeping tasks as required.Financial Reporting and AnalysisAssist the CFO in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.Compile budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports to support decision-making.Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into financial performance and trends.VAT and Tax ComplianceEnsure timely and accurate submission of VAT and tax reports in collaboration with external partners.Stay updated on VAT implications for international companies in digital services segments and ensure compliance.Audit Preparation and CoordinationPrepare for and actively participate in the annual audit process.Coordinate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.Financial Controls and ComplianceImplement effective financial controls and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements as necessary.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial documents support business operations.Provide financial expertise and support to various teams as needed.Xero Expertise and System ManagementUtilize Xero accounting software proficiently to manage financial transactions, integrations, and reporting.Train and support team members on using Xero and other financial tools effectively.Cryptocurrency TransactionsManage and oversee cryptocurrency transactions, ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with financial reporting standards.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting, analysis, and operational efficiencies.Implement best practices and streamline financial processes where possible.Proficiency in Xero accounting software or equivalent, with hands‐on experience in managing financial transactions, integrations, and generating reports.Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis.Excellent knowledge of VAT implications for international companies in digital services segments.Ability to prepare for and coordinate audits.Preferred QualificationsCPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification.Minimum 3 years of experience.Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.Similar position within an international digital services company.Experience with payment processing is an advantage.Soft SkillsStrong, clear communication & collaborative skills (perfectly fluent in English).
