We are a stealth-mode startup building an AI-powered marketing strategy platform that uses specialized AI agents to guide users through a complete marketing journey — from strategic planning to execution and measurement. Our product is live, and we are preparing to seek seed funding.

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to redesign and scale the backend infrastructure of our platform. You will lead the migration from a vertically-scaled EC2 setup to a production-grade Kubernetes (EKS) architecture, and help optimize our multi-cloud costs across AWS and GCP.

Python 3.11 (FastAPI backend)

Celery (distributed task processing)

PostgreSQL (primary database)

Redis (caching and message broker)

AWS EC2 (vertical scaling — current setup)

Firebase / Firestore (GCP — authentication and real-time data)

Vertex AI (GCP — Agent Engine, Gemini models, Memory Bank)

What You’ll Do

Infrastructure & Scaling

Design and implement a horizontal scaling strategy using AWS EKS (Kubernetes).

Migrate the current EC2-based setup to a production-ready, containerized architecture.

Optimize PostgreSQL scaling, replication, connection pooling (PgBouncer), and performance.

Optimize Redis scaling and high-availability configuration.

Orchestration & Reliability

Improve Celery worker orchestration and task queue reliability for AI agent workloads.

Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).

Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

Cost Optimization & Multi-Cloud

Analyze and reduce cloud costs across AWS and GCP, including Firebase region migration and Vertex AI usage.

Implement FinOps practices to monitor and control infrastructure spend as we scale.

Documentation

Document architecture decisions, infrastructure runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.





Establish infrastructure-as-code standards for the team.

**Requirements**:
3+ years of DevOps / Infrastructure engineering experience.

Deep hands-on experience with AWS EKS / Kubernetes in production environments.

Strong knowledge of AWS services: EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudWatch.

Experience with PostgreSQL tuning, connection pooling (PgBouncer), and read replicas.

Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform / Helm).

Familiarity with Python-based backend systems and Celery task queues.

Excellent written and spoken English for async-first communication.

Nice to Have

Experience with GCP services: Firebase, Vertex AI, Cloud Run.

Multi-cloud cost optimization (AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing, FinOps frameworks).

Familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure workloads.

Experience in fast-paced startup environments.

Schedule

Half-time contract. Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on-call in case urgent infrastructure matters arise that require immediate attention.
