Their platform supports hedge funds, private equity, private credit, and other alternative investment structures by streamlining accounting, NAV production, reconciliations, data management, and fund administration processes.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fund Accountant to support the onboarding and ongoing operations of sophisticated alternative investment funds. This role combines fund accounting expertise with operational problem-solving, working closely with clients to ensure accurate fund setup, NAV production, reconciliations, and calculation engine configuration.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the operational onboarding of new funds, feeder funds, and SPVs from implementation through go-live.
- Configure fund structures, legal entities, chart of accounts, investor setups, fee schedules, accrual policies, and reporting calendars.
- Produce and validate daily, weekly, and monthly Shadow NAVs and reconcile them against administrator NAVs.
- Investigate and resolve NAV breaks, pricing discrepancies, accrual differences, and reconciliation exceptions.
- Calculate management fees, incentive fees, carried interest, equalization, series accounting, and waterfall allocations.
- Configure, test, and maintain calculation logic within VCalc or similar calculation platforms.




- Translate fund legal documentation into calculation rules and validate outputs against independently prepared models.
- Build and maintain data mappings across custodians, prime brokers, administrators, and internal accounting platforms.
- Perform cash, position, transaction, and three-way reconciliations while identifying root causes and driving long-term process improvements.
- Support capital calls, distributions, subscription facilities, borrowing base calculations, and lender reporting.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, client finance teams, fund administrators, custodians, and auditors.
- Maintain detailed operational documentation and ensure audit readiness.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Fund Accounting, Fund Administration, or Middle Office Operations.
- Hands-on experience with Shadow NAV production and validation.
- Experience onboarding investment funds and supporting fund launches.
- Strong background in reconciliations, data mapping, and fund operations.
- Experience with VCalc or comparable fund accounting/calculation platforms (Geneva, Investran, Allvue, eFront, SS&C;, or similar).
- Working knowledge of hedge funds, private equity, private credit, or hybrid fund structures.
- Understanding of master-feeder structures, SPVs, waterfalls, carried interest, management fees, equalization, and series accounting.
- Knowledge of US GAAP (ASC 946); IFRS is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict operational deadlines.
