As a Product Specialist, you will play a key role in driving Surgical Stapling portfolio growth, market development, and therapy adoption across the CELA region. Partnering closely with Sales, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other cross‑functional teams, you will lead product marketing initiatives, support product launches, develop KOL engagement strategies, and deliver impactful medical education programs to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies that improve patient outcomes. This is a Flexwork position and can be based in Bogotá, Colombia. Travel is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Formulate and review corporate short and long‑range plans, goals, and objectives for specific product or product line and Medical Specialty
- Conduct competitive product analysis and market research of product consumer behaviour and professional audience
- Determine the profitability and viability of new products or product enhancements
- Develop production and marketing strategies and tactics to ensure effective product placement relative to market opportunity, working closely with product development for a specific product, brand, or product area over its entire life cycle
- Work with other functions to finalize product specifications
- Provide advertising with core brand equity
- Serve as technical adviser, demonstrating products and troubleshooting product issue
Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2 level required)
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, product management, or commercial roles within the medical device industry
- Strong knowledge of market development, product launches, KOL engagement, and portfolio management
- Proven experience driving business growth through strategic planning, commercial and financial analysis, forecasting, and P&L; management
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate market insights into effective commercial strategies
- Knowledge using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
Nice to Have
- MBA or postgraduate degree in Marketing, Commercial Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience leveraging AI tools and data‑driven insights to support business planning, market analysis, and decision‑making
- Experience in the medical devices industries
- Exposure to regional or multinational business environments
