Saenz-Garcia Law, PLLC is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Paralegal with a strong background in Removal Defense and EOIR matters to join our Legal Production team.

This position is intended for a senior-level immigration professional who can independently manage complex removal matters, provide high-level support to attorneys, maintain strict control of court and filing deadlines, and serve as a knowledgeable resource to other paralegals.

Key Responsibilities

Saenz-Garcia Law, PLLC is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Paralegal with a strong background in Removal Defense and EOIR matters to join our Legal Production team.

This position is intended for a senior-level immigration professional who can independently manage complex removal matters, provide high-level support to attorneys, maintain strict control of court and filing deadlines, and serve as a knowledgeable resource to other paralegals.

- Manage complex and high-priority Removal Defense and EOIR matters from preparation through filing.
- Prepare, review, and finalize immigration court filings, motions, applications, supporting evidence, and related documentation.
- Track and manage court dates, filing deadlines, evidence deadlines, and other critical case requirements.
- Support attorneys with hearing preparation, case strategy, evidence organization, and trial-related materials.
- Review paralegal work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with filing requirements.
- Serve as a senior resource for paralegals handling complex cases and procedural questions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to paralegal team members and support onboarding and training as needed.




- Identify case issues and elevate complex or high-risk matters appropriately.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation in the firm's case management systems.
- Assist with workload coordination, case assignments, and workflow improvements.

Required Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience as an immigration paralegal.
- Strong hands-on experience with Removal Defense and EOIR proceedings.
- Demonstrated experience handling complex immigration matters and court filings.
- Strong knowledge of immigration court procedures, deadlines, evidence requirements, and filing processes.
- Experience preparing and handling matters such as asylum/removal defense filings, motions, EOIR filings, and appeals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Experience mentoring, training, reviewing, or supporting other paralegals.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to identify and elevate case risks.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Experience with immigration case management software and Microsoft Office.

Preferred Experience

Experience with matters such as I-589 asylum and withholding of removal, EOIR-42A/42B cancellation of removal, bond redeterminations, BIA appeals, motions to reopen, motions to continue/change venue, administrative closure or termination, stays of removal, and limited representation filings is strongly preferred.
