We’re supporting a general fintech and digital currency platform in their search for a Senior Data Engineer to help scale and optimize their analytics and data infrastructure. This is a full‑time, long‑term contractor role, ideal for someone who wants ownership, autonomy, and meaningful impact while working remotely.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with data engineers, software engineers, and product leaders to design, build, and scale reliable data systems that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence across a global operation.
Responsibilities
You will take ownership of core data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, scalability,



and performance across large and complex datasets. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, process, and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Designing, building, and optimizing data models and databases to support analytical and reporting needs.
- Performing data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
- Building and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensuring data quality through governance practices, validation processes, and integrity checks.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, and product teams.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
- Supporting additional data initiatives and projects as needed.
