Good Business Lab (GBL) is an independent, non-profit labor innovation company. We use rigorous academic research to prove that worker well-being programs have business impacts. We develop market-ready, scalable interventions that benefit both workers and businesses. Position Overview

GBL’s Research Associatewill work on innovative and high-impact research projects at the intersection of industrial organization, applied economics, and development. The Research Associate will play a key role in designing and implementing research studies, conducting advanced data analysis, and collaborating closely with a diverse team of economists, development practitioners, and labor industry experts.

The role will require analytical expertise, creativity, and a passion for development economics,



as well as the ability to work collaboratively with leading scholars, including Jorge Tamayo (Harvard University), Anant Nyshadham (University of Michigan), and Achyuta Adhvaryu (UC San Diego).

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and analyze experimental and quasi-experimental research projects.
- Clean, process, and analyze large datasets.
- Use advanced econometric and statistical methods to tackle questions related to development economics, industrial organization, and policy.
- Collaborate with our internal team and academic partners to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
- Assist in preparing deliverables, like academic papers, policy briefs, presentations, and other materials for stakeholders.
- Contribute ideas to improve research design, methodology, and the overall impact of our projects.
