Job Summary

The Tax Manager acts as a client‑facing leader within the Tax Team, delivering high‑quality tax compliance services to high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and businesses. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and signing income tax returns, preparing tax projections and analysis, and providing exceptional client service in a fast‑paced environment. The position is fully managed and does not include audit or assurance work or active business development requirements.

Essential Job Functions
- Prepare, review, and sign tax returns for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and businesses.
- Create quarterly estimates and projections.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients regarding the delivery of tax returns.
- Conduct tax research and provide timely responses to tax questions and requests.
- Respond to tax notices and review correspondence with tax staff.
- Stay current on tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients.
- Mentor a team of Senior Tax Associates, Tax Associates, and/or Tax Support Specialists in the local office or region, as assigned.




- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of the tax code and general accounting.
- CPA and/or EA required; Master’s degree in Tax is a plus.
- Experience with CCH products such as Axcess, Workflow and Practice, and SafeSend is a plus.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management skills.
- Capable of handling a large volume of tasks simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex concepts concisely.

Work Schedule

Standard business hours Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑5 PM. Saturday work may be required during tax season. Early or late hours may be necessary to meet client and internal deadlines.
