Position Summary
Pond is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with Data Center experience to join our growing team in Bogotá, Colombia. The adecuado candidate will have a strong background in the design and delivery of mission‑critical mechanical systems for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centers. This individual will play a key role in developing efficient, resilient, and sustainable cooling and mechanical infrastructure that supports continuous operations in critical environments.
The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout all phases of project delivery, from planning and conceptual design through construction support, commissioning, and facility turnover.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical systems for data centers and other mission‑critical facilities, including cooling, ventilation, and support infrastructure.
- Develop mechanical calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
- Design and coordinate HVAC systems including chilled water plants, air‑cooled and water‑cooled systems, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated piping networks.
- Perform cooling load calculations, airflow analysis, equipment sizing, energy evaluations, and system reliability assessments.
- Support development of mechanical redundancy strategies including N, N+1, and 2N configurations.
