What will you do as a Junior Data engineer?
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Participate in data engineering and transformation design to ensure highly scalable, extensible, and performant solutions.
- Collaborates in the coordination of the International Banking data engineering community; supporting training and onboarding of new users, and support the implementation of data assets across international teams.
- Hands on development supporting Data integration, Analytics and for On-prem and Cloud environments, to generate scalable data assets across Scotiabank international markets.
- Functions as a member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices, tools usage, common components, and patterns.

What do we expect from you?
- 1-3 years of working experience as a junior Data Engineer.




- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related field or relevant experience.
- Knowledge with SQL, Python, git, Airflow.
- Experience with Big Data and Cloud Technologies.
- Experience with GitHub, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience working in an Agile team environment.Knowledge of MS Power BI (Data consumption).
- Proficiency with Big Query.
- To have great communication abilities, both in English and Spanish (B2-C1 Level).
