We are seeking a remote Solution Architect with expertise in Sybase.

This role involves a significant focus on improving our database architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software design and development, with a particular emphasis on Sybase, to assist with modernizing our legacy systems. Responsibilities
- Analyze, document,



and evaluate the current database architecture and infrastructure
- Provide recommendations for best practices and technical approaches to modernize legacy database systems
- Lead efforts on upgrades, re-architecture, infrastructure updates, schema design, and data modeling
- Manage processes related to data migration and real-time replication
- Collaborate with team members to drive database design projects
- Perform performance testing and optimization to enhance database efficiency
- Investigate and resolve performance bottlenecks through root cause analysis

Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in software design and development
- At least 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Sybase production Database Administrator
- 2 or more years of leadership experience in relevant rolesExpertise in database architecture and configuration
- Understanding of common database design and development principles
- Knowledge of very large databases
