Looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a fast-paced, consumer-facing product team. You’ll design and build versátil Android components that work across phone, tablet, and TV, using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android tools. You’ll own technical design for mid-size projects and help shape the architecture of the app layer on top of existing backend microservices, delivering for Android mobile, tablet, Android TV, and Fire TV.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
- Implement UI/UX designs from Figma to pixel-perfect execution, ensuring smooth and responsive user experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-impact features on time.
- Build reusable components and SDK modules that can be extended across multiple Android form factors.
- Integrate APIs and real-time data sources, including REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipeline setup,
and continuous improvement of build and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across a variety of Android devices and OS versions.
- Stay current with Android ecosystem trends, architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Jetpack Compose), and best practices in testing and automation.
Core Requirements
- 5+ years of professional Android development experience in a production environment.
- Deep proficiency in Kotlin, with strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and material design principles.
- Proven experience building and shipping apps to the Google Play Store (end-to-end lifecycle).
- Experience developing extensible, data-driven applications integrated with modern backend services.
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, coroutines, and reactive patterns.
