Position Summary
The Adjunct Professor for the School of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering (SBCE) will serve as the primary liaison between SBCE’s Clinical Immersion Program and UCHealth. This position facilitates and coordinates clinical immersion experiences for biomedical engineering students within hospital and clinical settings. Students participating in the program will complete clinical rotations alongside healthcare professionals to identify unmet clinical needs, evaluate opportunities for biomedical device innovation, and assess potential improvements to existing technologies and workflows.
The Adjunct Professor will be a current UCHealth-employed physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse who provides clinical coordination, student mentorship, and assignment oversight to ensure program learning objectives and experiential goals are achieved.

The Clinical Immersion Program provides students with direct exposure to clinical environments, enabling them to better understand healthcare challenges and develop innovative biomedical engineering solutions informed by real-world clinical practice.
Essential Job Duties
- Coordinate and facilitate clinical immersion experiences for SBCE students within UCHealth clinical environments.
- Serve as the primary liaison between SBCE faculty, students, and UCHealth clinical staff to support program operations and experiential learning objectives.
- Develop, assign, and oversee student clinical activities and observational assignments to ensure alignment with educational goals
