With a strong focus on quality and innovation, ZEISS creates value for its customers and helps shape new ways of seeing the world.We're looking for a Master Expert / Leading Optometrist to join our Colombia Center of Competence (CCoC) in Bogotá D.C. as part of a critical global project.The Colombia Center of Competence plays a critical role in delivering high-quality clinical and operational services that support ZEISS's global vision care operations. Working alongside international stakeholders, you'll contribute to maintaining world-class clinical standards while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.Your RoleAs the Master Expert / Leading Optometrist, you will serve as the clinical authority for the Athena operation. You will lead clinical quality assurance, standardize training and documentation, ensure compliance with global clinical standards, and mentor a team of optometrists. This role is essential to maintaining operational excellence, strengthening quality governance, and supporting continuous improvement across the operation.The role will involve:Leading, coaching, and mentoring the optometrist team to ensure high clinical performance.Monitoring quality standards, process adherence, and conducting third-level clinical quality reviews.Developing, maintaining, and standardizing training materials, operating manuals,
and clinical documentation.Delivering Train-the-Trainer sessions to support capability building across the team.Supporting operational reporting, KPI monitoring, and clinical performance analysis.Collaborating with global stakeholders and country Designated Responsible Individuals (DRIs) to ensure alignment with international standards.Identifying opportunities for process optimization and driving continuous operational improvement.Acting as the clinical expert for quality governance and compliance within the Athena operation.Your ExperienceYou will bring:A Degree in Optometry with a valid Colombian professional license (mandatory).4–6+ years of experience in clinical optometry, prescription verification, quality assurance, or clinical operations.Strong experience in prescription verification, clinical quality assurance, and clinical audits.Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching clinical teams in structured operational environments.Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI reporting, process documentation, operational analytics, and Microsoft Office.English proficiency at B2 level minimum (C1 preferred).It would be desirable if you had:Previous experience supporting general or international clinical operations.Experience delivering training programs or Train-the-Trainer initiatives.Experience driving operational excellence or continuous improvement projects.We're looking for someone who demonstrates:Leadership and coaching skillsAnalytical thinking and sound decision makingExcellent attention to detailStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to work collaboratively in an international environmentIf you join ZEISS, you will have access to a range of benefits, including:The opportunity to work with a global leader in optics and medical technology.Professional development and continuous learning opportunities.Collaboration with international teams in a high-performing, innovation-driven environment.A culture focused on quality, excellence, and continuous improvement.Working Model: On-siteEmployment Type: Full-Time#J-18808-Ljbffr
