We’re hiring an HR & Payroll Specialist to support employee onboarding, payroll setup, documentation management, and ongoing employee relations. This role will act as a remote HR liaison, ensuring smooth HR operations and significantly reducing the administrative burden on management.
This is a hands-on, highly organized role for someone comfortable working with HR systems, payroll data, and employee support in a growing environment.
Responsibilities
HR & Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end employee onboarding, including I-9 verification and system setup
- Maintain and update employee files, documentation, and performance records
- Review candidate resumes and assist with sourcing when needed

Payroll & Systems Support
- Support payroll setup, direct deposit information, and timekeeping documentation
- Assist employees with logging into workforce management and payroll systems
- Ensure payroll and HR data accuracy and secure handling of confidential information

Employee Support & HR Operations
- Field HR-related calls and emails from employees and management




- Serve as a neutral point of contact for employee questions or concerns
- Escalate relevant issues to management when appropriate
- Maintain professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive HR matters

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HR administration, payroll administration, or operations support
- Hands-on experience with onboarding, employee documentation, and payroll processes
- Familiarity with HRIS or workforce management platforms
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll processes
- Comfort assisting employees with system access, logins, and documentation workflows
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Tech-savvy and comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks
- Strong problem-solving mindset and employee-support orientation
- Proven ability to handle confidential HR and payroll information securely
