About Forte Global: Forte Global is one of the world’s leading startups. We’re innovative, fast-growing, truly integral, and with a clear mission: To reduce poverty and to unlock human potential at scale. Our goal is to help over 1 billion people around the world access free, high-quality education so they can reach their full potential and live lives with dignity.
We achieve our mission by being the backend engine that powers world-class retraining and upskilling. We manage retraining programs, finance training using an innovative approach, and build software to manage outcomes-based retraining programs. We prioritise helping disadvantaged populations.
Our work enables people to get quality jobs on good incomes, which in turn means they can support their families, have less financial stress, and build lasting careers. So far, we’ve helped over 15,000 people across 8 countries to get back on their feet and get ahead in life. And this is just the beginning.
One thing that sets us apart is that neither individuals nor governments pay for the training. Instead, we’ve developed an innovative approach that has as much impact as scholarships, but with far more scalability. Our Founder/CEO Nat Ware walks through the idea in his TED talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m99kA0UImyw.
Our work is needed now more than ever. AI is leading to massive job displacement and job disruption, so there will be a huge need for retraining. Current approaches are inadequate to meet the coming need.
That’s the gap that Forte was built to close. Forte is backed and endorsed by many of the world’s leading institutions and investors. Forte is a UBS Global Visionary Company, won the Forbes Best Education Startup Competition, has been endorsed by the World Economic Forum.
In addition, Forte is supported by Oxford University, Atlassian Foundation, Blackbird, GitLab Foundation, Draper Associates, Rockefeller Foundation, and many others.
About the role: We’re hiring a Senior Project Manager to join our Delivery Team (one of the four main teams within Forte). We want an experienced leader and talented operator to lead our most ambitious retraining/upskilling programs. At Forte, we are increasingly being asked to manage very large retraining programs. We will soon be managing training for hundreds of thousands of people. Maybe even millions.

Own end-to-end delivery of the programs you're assigned. This includes student enrollment, training implementation, progress tracking, outcome evidence collection, and outcome reporting.
Manage the client relationship directly. You’ll lead the meetings, the presentations, and the hard conversations.
Manage training providers and hold them to contractual terms and quality standards.
Manage the evidence and reporting that outcome-based payments depend on.
Coordinate and set the standard for other Forte team members staffed on your active program.

Excellence: High-quality work with excellent attention to detail. We want someone who produces output others can rely on without re-checking.
Technical Understanding: We want someone with an advanced understanding of AI tools and approaches, who already uses AI in their daily work and life.
Location:
Based in (or willing to relocate to) Medellín, Colombia.
Travel: Someone who is comfortable travelling to project/client locations when needed, up to 25% of the time. A valid US visa is beneficial but not strictly required.
What success in this role looks like: Each program you take on launches on schedule and hits its enrollment and training milestones.
Training providers deliver high-quality training and adhere to contractual requirements.
Problems are identified and solved proactively.
Project reporting and evidence of training outcomes are completed to an audit-ready standard.
Within 3-6 months, you run your programs with real autonomy (with an operations/delivery team supporting you), and such that the client sees you as the trusted owner of the project.
Why this role: This is an incredibly important and exciting role. By leading large-scale retraining projects around the world, your work directly contributes to the lives of tens of thousands of people. Your work will impact whether someone gets a job, what someone earns, and where their career goes. You’ll get the opportunity ot meet many of the people whose lives you transform for the better!
