We are a premier New York City-based construction firm seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team remotely from Bogotá, Colombia. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position requiring a professional who can work a full-time schedule aligned with Eastern Standard Time (EST) to ensure seamless collaboration with our NYC headquarters.

Role Overview

As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in our preconstruction phase, handling complex cost analysis for large-scale projects. You will be responsible for everything from initial conceptual budgets to final hard bids, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in the New York market.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform detailed quantity take-offs across all trades, including Architectural, Structural, and MEP systems.
- Develop comprehensive conceptual budgets and detailed cost models based on various design stages.




- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risk factors and constructability issues.
- Collaborate closely with NYC-based project managers and executives via virtual meetings.
- Maintain and update a database of material costs and subcontractor pricing relevant to the NYC area.
- Manage the bidding process, including subcontractor solicitation and scope leveling.

Requirements

- Location: Must be based in Bogotá, Colombia.
- Language: Native or near-native English fluency (written and verbal) is mandatory for daily communication with the NYC team.
- Schedule: Ability to work full-time hours strictly on Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., "Stack, On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam") and Excel.
