Responsibilities

- Write comprehensive articles in both English and Spanish on a variety of topics with minimal supervision
- Demonstrate the ability to adapt tone and complexity of content to speak to the correct audience in both languages, while aligning with relevant style guides
- Hit client SEO traffic goals month over month by creating content that ranks and generates organic links in both English and Spanish markets
- Research, brainstorm, and pitch creative and compelling article topics for diverse client needs
- Write effective titles and meta descriptions for improved CTR in both languages
- Fact-check content to ensure all dates, names, statistics, and facts are correct
- Demonstrate the ability to implement feedback from editors, clients, and teammates
- Use AI tools strategically (ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate research and ideation while maintaining human ownership of final output

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience as a bilingual content writer (ideally published on reputable news sites, industry blogs, or worked in agency settings)
- Native or fluent proficiency in both English and Spanish with excellent writing skills in both languages
- Experience writing for the web, with a focus on digital content including long-form guides, how-tos, software/tool roundups, comparison posts, trend reports, and thought leadership content
- Knowledge of niche topics within tech, fintech, B2B SaaS, and/or startup industries
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to form productive working relationships in a remote environment
- Strong project management skills, with ability to handle multiple projects while still working effectively
- Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Close attention to detail and a heavy focus on creating quality content
- Proven ability to generate creative ideas that attract attention on the web
- Able to absorb new material quickly and write authoritatively on diverse topics
- Experience using Google Workspace applications (primarily Docs, Slides, and Sheets)

Suggested Skills

- Intermediary SEO knowledge with a working knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) and how they can be used to improve client websites
- Experience with AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) and understanding of AI-augmented content workflows
- Experience working in a startup or agency environment
- Past experience working in content management systems (WordPress, Webflow, Framer)
- Understanding of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) for AI search platforms
- 4-year university degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Experience collaborating with design teams and giving guidance on UX best practices
- Knowledge of schema markup, meta tags, and technical SEO basics
