We're seeking an experienced
Data Engineer Contractor
to help our team complete the migration of our enterprise data warehouse to
Microsoft Fabric
.

Our data architecture, standards, and framework are already established. We're looking for a hands-on engineer who can quickly integrate with the team, contribute immediately, and help accelerate delivery of our remaining migration work.

What You'll Do
- Develop and support data pipelines, Lakehouse, and Warehouse objects in Microsoft Fabric
- Migrate existing data warehouse workloads to Fabric following established architectural standards
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes, including integrations with APIs, databases, and file-based sources
- Develop data transformations, validation processes, and curated reporting datasets
- Assist with testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production readiness
- Collaborate with our data architect, BI developers,



BI analysts and business stakeholders
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, including Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, and OneLake
- Strong SQL and data warehousing expertise
- Experience designing and supporting ETL/ELT solutions, including API integrations
- Experience with dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, and data warehouse best practices
- Experience working within established data frameworks and architectural standards
- Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Credit union or financial services experience
- Experience supporting Power BI and enterprise reporting solutions
- Experience working with metadata-driven integration frameworks
- Python, Spark, or notebook development ex
