Role: Operations Director
Language: Proficiency in English is required as we are a global business.
Reports to: COO and Regional Lead (cross‑report).
Direct reports: Associate Operations Manager, Operations Assistant, Resource Operations Manager.
A Little Bit About the Role
The Operations Director will lead the strategic evolution of operational excellence across regional and global scopes, driving efficiency through the integration of data, technology, AI and automation.
This role requires a seasoned operator with a proven track record in global operations, capacity management, and strategic execution – capable of translating business vision into scalable, intelligent operating models that enhance productivity, profitability and service delivery.
As part of the Central Global Operations structure, you will operate at the intersection of business, technology and talent – embedding AI‑driven and automated solutions into core processes, while enabling cross‑regional alignment and continuous operational innovation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Define and lead the global operational strategy for capacity and resource management as a critical enterprise capability, aligning talent, technology and delivery to support business growth, profitability and scalability across all regions.
- Translate enterprise vision into operational frameworks that enable effective global workforce planning and deployment, ensuring the business can access the right capabilities at the right time, cost and quality.
- Establish governance and strategic direction for global resource management, including the evolution of freelance and contingent workforce models, driving consistency, control and alignment across markets.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Technology, Talent, Finance and Delivery leadership to embed data‑driven, automated and AI‑enabled approaches into capacity planning and workforce optimisation.
- Provide C‑Suite visibility on strategic priorities, progress and risk,
ensuring informed decision‑making at the highest level.
BTG+ Global Operations
- Shape and influence general operational strategy by contributing regional insights, innovation and scalable solutions to enterprise‑wide initiatives.
- Drive cross‑regional alignment by identifying, standardising and scaling best practices that improve efficiency, consistency and performance across markets.
- Champion the integration of technology, data, AI and automation into operational processes to strengthen global service delivery and enable smarter, more efficient ways of working.
- Represent the West region in global operational governance, contributing to enterprise decision‑making and shaping the future operating model.
- Influence and scale regional innovation across the global network, embedding continuous improvement into the organisation.
BTG+ West Regional Operations
- Pioneer operational excellence across Mexico and Colombia markets, establishing scalable frameworks that enable regional growth.
- Architect and implement operational standardisation initiatives to create consistency and efficiency across Latin American operations.
- Partner with local Ops and Global IT teams to set the strategy for equipment and asset management across the region, driving automation that ensures reliable, on‑time deployment with minimal manual effort.
- Strategically negotiate and secure office space agreements, in both Colombia and Mexico markets.
- Cultivate and develop high‑potential talent, providing mentorship to the Associate Operations Manager and Operations Assistant to build regional operational resilience.
- Ensure IT and operational support across markets enables business continuity and productivity.
- Navigate complex regulatory environments to mature Colombia and Mexico operations.
- Lead operational change across the region, owning service excellence as the business evolves.
- Drive efficiency and service‑quality improvement across regional operations, balancing cost and performance.
- Build regional team capability, providing strategic guidance and a culture of problem‑solving.
- Support new business development by assisting with commercial modelling and RFI/RFP responses when necessary.
- Govern project profitability ensuring ad‑hoc work is executed efficiently while minimising over‑burn.
- Collaborate with Talent team to optimise resource allocation and minimise margin‑dilutive freelancer spend.
- Define and own the performance framework for regional operations, using data to drive decisions and accountability.
What You’ll Need
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading, influencing and developing high‑performance teams.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities, with the ability to think globally and act regionally.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across regions and functions.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data‑driven decision‑making.
- High level of technical and systems understanding, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
- Demonstrated experience or strong capability in leveraging AI, automation and emerging technologies to drive operational efficiency and innovation.
You’ll Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven experience at the Senior/Director level in operations management within the marketing and advertising industry.
- Languages spoken (English) with C1 level proficiency or equivalent.
- 10‑15 years of experience in advertising, marketing or a related field with managerial experience.
- Self‑starter and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Solution‑oriented.
- Growth mindset.
- Have risen through the ranks in advertising/marcom space and has a fair understanding of various production styles and technology in creative production.
- Proven track record of managing budgets and financial resources effectively.
Good to Have
- Managing cross‑market teams remotely.
- Practical exposure to AI and automation tools, with an understanding of how these can be applied to improve operational processes and decision‑making.
