Group Financial Reporting Manager

As Group Financial Reporting Manager ,

you will lead technical accounting matters under IFRS and US GAAP at the Group level. You will serve as the key accounting expert for complex transactions (ie: revenue recognition, lease accounting) and non-routine transactions (acquisitions, spin-off’s, Joint Operations, earnouts, call-options, segment reporting). You will lead the proper policy interpretations and implementation of new standards, ensuring consistency at Millicom Group and for consolidation purposes. You will also lead migrations on related systems (i.e: for newly acquired operations).

Role Purpose

You will beresponsible for leading technical accounting matters under IFRS and US GAAP at the Group level. serving as the key accounting expert for complex transactions (ie: revenue recognition, lease accounting) and non-routine transactions (acquisitions, spin-off’s, Joint Operations, earnouts, call-options, segment reporting). You will lead the proper policy interpretations and implementation of new standards, ensuring consistency at Millicom Group and for consolidation purposes. You will also lead migrations on related systems (i.e: for newly acquired operations).

Core Responsibilities

Technical Accounting & IFRS / US GAAP Expertise

- IFRS/ US GAAP expert and key point of contact throughout the Group in relation to financial reporting related matters, specifically on IFRS 16 implementation topics and IFRS 15 business models.
- Manage the transition of Group IFRS consolidated financial statements to US GAAP.
- Issuing position papers on interpretation of IFRS and reporting implications and requirements of all significant transactions for the Group.
- Preparation of IFRS accounting entries / templates from complex transactions (e.g., new significant leases / modifications / lease backs, different sales models in place and other such disposals,



initial valuation of leases on acquisitions , segment reporting, etc.).

Standards Implementation & Project Leadership

- Business owner of lease (Nakisa) and revenue (Tidemark) accounting tools, including the design and implementation of new configuration to satisfy reporting needs.
- Annually lead the IBR update now in-House process.
- Lead migrations on related lease and revenue systems (i.e: for newly acquired operations).
- Manage new IFRS standards or policies implementations, acquisitions, integration projects, adaptation for new standards and external advisors.
- Lead migrations on new IFRS standards changes, those acquisition related and also those related to any change within the reporting systems.

Accounting Policies & Compliance

- Analysis and interpretation of IFRS and setting Millicom’s IFRS Accounting Policies.
- Responsible for maintaining / developing the group accounting manual and following up on adherence to it.
- Advisor on IFRS technical issues arising from ongoing business activities and transactions enterprise wide.
- Apply proper IFRS accounting treatment based on revision of agreements, contracts and feedback of different business stakeholders.
- Responsible for developing capabilities on IFRS matters throughout the group including design and delivery of trainings.
- Provide support on the preparation of Group IFRS consolidated financial statements and key issues for CFO and Audit Committee.

Technical Documentation & Audit Coordination

- Front key complex technical issues with auditors and based on IFRS position papers.
- Present and validate key technical issues with external auditors, obtaining formal clearance.
- Business owner for selected SOX controls related to ‘Financial Reporting’.

Training & Capability Development

- Develop IFRS technical capabilities across the Group by designing and delivering training programs.
Act as the internal expert for queries from finance teams across different markets.

Qualifications

Education

- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Experience





- Minimum 7 years of experience in IFRS and US GAAP reporting.
- Experience in the Telecommunications or Media industry is a strong advantage.
- 5* years of Proven experience in project management .
- Background in a Big 4 audit firm or experience preparing IFRS financial statements Desirable

- Fluency in English and Spanish . Mandatory .

Additional Information

This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports . The selected candidate may be hired in Colombia, Uruguay or in any country where Millicom operates , depending on eligibility and internal alignment.

For foreign candidates , a valid work permit (or legal authorization to work in the hiring country) is required at the time of employment.
