About the Role:

We’re looking for a Search Director to lead and scale our Search Department (SEO + SEM), driving visibility, traffic, and conversions across client accounts.

In this role, you will own the overall search strategy, oversee team performance, and ensure high-quality execution across all SEO and SEM initiatives. You’ll play a key leadership role in building scalable processes, improving performance, and aligning search efforts with broader business goals.

This role combines strategic leadership, team development, and process optimization to deliver consistent and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Team & Operations Management

- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Search team (SEO & SEM Specialists).
- Recruit, train, and mentor team members to ensure continuous development and performance.
- Delegate execution while maintaining visibility into performance and delivery quality.
- Act as the escalation point for complex or high-priority search-related issues.

Strategy & Performance

- Define and execute SEO and SEM strategies to maximize visibility, rankings, and conversions.
- Oversee paid search campaigns (Google Ads, display, video) and organic growth initiatives.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure alignment with client goals and KPIs.
- Stay up to date with search engine algorithms, trends, and industry best practices.
- Present insights and performance results to leadership and Client Success teams.

Process & Quality Management

- Standardize and improve processes for keyword research, audits, reporting, and optimization.
- Ensure timely delivery of reports, analyses, and campaign updates within SLA timelines.
- Maintain and update SOPs, documentation, and training materials.




- Implement and oversee quality control frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Cross-Department Collaboration

- Partner with Client Success Managers to align search strategies with client objectives.
- Collaborate with Project Managers on onboarding and custom client needs.
- Work with Tech & Innovation to improve tools, dashboards, and automation.
- Contribute search insights to broader company strategy and decision-making.

Requirements:

- Strong experience in SEO and SEM strategy and execution.
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and paid search platforms.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, and keyword research tools.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience managing teams and leading performance-driven environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in WordPress and basic understanding of HTML.

- Experience in automotive or similar industries.
- Experience building SOPs and scalable workflows.
- Background in mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with tools such as Local Viking or Web 20 Ranker.
