Overview
Videoconferencing Product Owner to lead the strategy, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of our enterprise meeting room technologies and collaboration services. This role combines product ownership, service management, and technical expertise in Microsoft Teams and advanced audio/visual (A/V) systems. The position is required to oversee standard and complex meeting room solutions, manage Microsoft Teams Premium as a product, support enterprise events, and ensure a high-quality end‑user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the full lifecycle of videoconferencing and meeting room solutions , including standards for room types, hardware, and user experience.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for Microsoft Teams–based collaboration and meeting room services.
- Act as the primary stakeholder for integrations between Microsoft Teams, Teams Rooms, and enterprise-grade A/V technologies.
- Evaluate new technologies, vendors, and features to ensure continuous modernization of the meeting experience.
- Build a set of KPIs to measure & report on performance & reliability of local Tech services.
- With the support of external resources when required, coordinate various local Tech projects in alignment with local/general Tech teams and local Business representatives.
- Measure obsolescence of local Tech services and propose realistic roadmaps to keep technical debt as low as possible.
- Contribute to Real Estate / Facility Management project related to Tech services, ensuring coordination of the design and of the implementation of selected Tech services.
- Contribute to local projects by assessing the requirements from Tech Services, ensuring consistency with standards and coordinating implementation as per project’s milestones.
Service Management
- Serve as Product & Service Manager for:
- Microsoft Teams platform (with focus on Teams Rooms)
- Teams Premium licenses (standards, adoption, governance)
- Enterprise meeting room solutions (standard & complex rooms)
- Teams-based event production
- Oversee service performance, quality metrics, SLAs, lifecycle management, and capacity planning.
- Drive service improvements, incident reduction, and operational excellence.
Collaboration With Project Managers
- Work closely with project managers to design, plan, and deliver meeting room solutions as part of new office builds, renovations, or technology upgrades.
- Participate in solution architecture, vendor selection, BOM creation, and installation oversight for meeting room projects.
- Provide technical and product guidance throughout the project lifecycle to ensure solutions meet standards, integration requirements, and user expectations.
Technical & Operational Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft Teams , Teams Rooms, and integrated videoconferencing ecosystems.
- Manage A/V hardware ecosystems from vendors such as:
- Lenovo
- Logitech
- Shure
- and similar enterprise-grade providers.
- Ensure meeting room devices and services are secure, up to date, and optimized for performance.
- Provide expert-level (Level 3) support for escalated incidents and complex issues.
Event Production & Support
- Manage Microsoft Teams Live Events , webinars, and high-profile hybrid or virtual events.
- Deliver end-to-end production services: planning, rehearsals, live support, and post-event analytics.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support executive-level or visibility-critical events.
End User Experience & Adoption
- Deliver training, documentation, and best practices for Teams, Teams Rooms, and A/V solutions.
- Provide end-user support and resolve escalations related to videoconferencing, Teams Premium features, and event services.
- Promote adoption of new collaboration capabilities and ensure a frictionless user experience.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Professional Experience
- Minimum 4 years in roles such as:
- Product Owner
- Service Owner
- IT Project Manager
- UC/Collaboration Engineer
- A/V Systems Engineer
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Teams administration (policies, Teams Rooms, device admin center)
- Videoconferencing equipment (Lenovo, Logitech, Shure, and similar)
- Enterprise collaboration platforms and meeting room ecosystems
- Proven experience managing communication/collaboration products and working closely with project teams.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred certifications:
- Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate
- Scrum/Agile Product Owner
- A/V vendor certifications (Logitech, Shure, Crestron, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of unified communications and enterprise A/V systems.
- Ability to translate business needs into product strategies and technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and advanced proficiency in English .
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management capabilities.
- Project management knowledge (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
