Role Description: This is a remote position based in COLOMBIA for a local story/script.

We are looking for a writer/co-writer to join our writing team to write a region specific, culture specific script for a webseries of biopics. Experience in scripts/screenplays for Biopics is an added bonus!

Script for this project will be written in English. Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory. Most collaboration will take place over MS Teams, Google meet etc. and during work hours (9 AM to 3 PM EDT/EST), after hours (8 PM to no-later-than 10 PM EDT/EST) and maybe on the weekends for a couple of hours at mutually acceptable times, if necessary. Our goal is to keep online meetings to less than 45 minutes for each sitting. We’re negotiable with meeting dates and times. All of us wear multiple hats in this project and we need someone who can focus on and independently develop our idea into a full-blown script. The best reference sample work are scripts of Feature films in English that you have written.

Please submit samples of your earlier work for consideration. Applications without resume and sample work (both in English) will not be considered.

Celtx is our preferred screenwriting software and we would like for everyone on the team to have their own copy for ease of workflow. We will begin writing the screenplay right after we finalize the story/treatment. Qualifications Strong narrative skills in Scriptwriting, Screenplays, and Scripting for episodic biographical content. Experience in Writing for character-driven stories, including dialogue, structure, and pacing. Familiarity with Video Production processes and the ability to write scripts that translate effectively to screen. Demonstrated research skills, especially in handling real-life subjects with accuracy and sensitivity. Ability to accept and incorporate feedback, revise multiple drafts, and meet deadlines consistently. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working closely with a producer and other creative partners. Prior experience in film, television, or digital series writing is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Film, Screenwriting, Creative Writing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
