Description and Requirements
The Technical Support Specialist will be focused on quality engineering and advanced laboratory activities within repair operations. Leads complex investigations (mass issues, recurrent failures, model defects) and component-level repair pilots, applying strong technical analysis, engineering problem solving, and clear documentation. Acts as a technical authority in the repair laboratory, driving root cause analysis, preventive actions, and continuous improvement to improve customer experience, repair quality, and operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead complex quality investigations and repairs (mass issues, recurrent failures, model-specific defects).
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using technical data, trends, and lab findings; identify systemic issues (design, components, process, materials).
- Develop and validate technical findings; support escalations to L2/L3 Engineering/QDTS.
- Design/execute/document component-level repair pilots; perform advanced diagnostics and validate new repair methods, diagnostic flows, and lab tests.
- Drive process improvement and preventive quality actions to reduce recurrence, DOA/NTF, and repeat complaints; analyze performance data to improve capacity and quality KPIs.
- Provide technical leadership: mentor technicians, guide complex troubleshooting, collaborate with operations/engineering/supply chain/service, and support quality audits.
