About the Role

EV Häs, LLC is seeking an experienced legal drafter based in Latin America who has previously worked with U.S. attorneys or U.S. law firms. You will prepare sophisticated first drafts of pleadings, motions, responses, discovery, and legal memoranda in English under the supervision of Illinois-licensed attorneys. This is a hands-on drafting role for someone who understands litigation workflow, follows precise instructions, welcomes detailed feedback, and takes pride in accuracy.

What You Will Draft and Support

- Motions to stay judicial sales and related foreclosure-defense filings.
- Answers, affirmative defenses, motions to dismiss, motions to vacate, motions for leave, motions to reconsider, and responsive pleadings.
- Complaints, counterclaims, discovery requests and responses, notices, proposed orders, and supporting memoranda.
- Civil and real-estate litigation matters, including title, lien, property, association, and possession disputes.
- Chronologies, issue lists, exhibit indexes, procedural summaries, and concise research memoranda.

Required Qualifications

- Located in Latin America and able to work remotely with dependable U.S. Central Time overlap.
- At least three to five years of meaningful litigation drafting experience.
- Prior experience working for a U.S.



law firm or directly supporting U.S. attorneys.
- Excellent professional written English and the ability to draft pleadings in English.
- Working knowledge of U.S. civil-litigation concepts and procedure.
- Demonstrated ability to follow templates, local rules, attorney instructions, and document-control procedures.
- Stable internet, private workspace, and secure handling of confidential client information.

Strongly Preferred

- Licensed attorney in a Latin American jurisdiction.
- Native or fluent Spanish.
- Experience with Illinois courts, Illinois civil procedure, mortgage foreclosure, or Illinois law firms.
- Experience with Clio, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, legal research tools, and remote law-firm workflows.

What Success Looks Like

You receive an assignment, identify the required pleading and procedural posture, organize the facts, use approved templates and reliable authority, flag missing information, and deliver a polished first draft on time. Your drafts should require thoughtful attorney review and legal judgment but should not require the attorney to rebuild the document from the beginning.
