Strategic Mission: This is an opportunity for an experienced professional. An US-based company is transitioning its accounting operations from the United States to a newly established hub in Pereira, Colombia. As our Senior Accountant, you will manage end-toend accounting workflows, and day-to-day US GAAP. You will report directly to our executive leadership team in the US.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a high-performing, independent, and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with advanced bilingual capabilities. This position is adecuado for someone with robust experience managing end-to-end accounting processes under US GAAP, understands US local and state tax structures, and possesses the professional maturity to run financial workflows with autonomy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- End-to-End US Accounting: Own the month-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, payments, fixed asset entries, and balance adjustments.
- US Local Taxes & Compliance: Take ownership of US local and state tax process support, ensuring accurate compliance, data gathering, and timely filings across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ledger & Cash Management: Perform complex bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations; maintain and oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) cycles.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in preparing Balance Sheets, P&L; statements, and cash flow summaries.



Perform basic variance analysis and investigate transaction discrepancies.
- System Integrity: Maintain QuickBooks as the primary system of record, ensuring data integrity and proper transactional documentation.
- US Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for US management, presenting monthly reports, clarifying discrepancies, and managing timelines

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on, end-to-end accounting experience working with US COMPANIES.
- US GAAP & Tax: Solid, proven understanding of US GAAP principles and hands-on experience with US local/state tax processes.
- Accounting Software: High proficiency in QuickBooks is a mandatory requirement.
- Language Proficiency: C1 level is required. You must be capable of presenting financial information to executive-level US audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Professional certifications are a plus.
- Office Presence: Willing to work 100% On-Site in Pereira, Colombia.
