Windows Systems Administrator, Senior (Remote, Supporting U.S. Client)

This junior role requires no hands-on experience, though technical know-how is expected, either gained through formal education or self-directed learning. You will be surrounded by mentors, working on an experienced, diverse, and highly effective team building and operating secure, compliant, and efficient hybrid lab infrastructure to empower hardware engineers to thrive. In collaboration with service owners, the team defines, discovers, tracks, and acts on development environments for our partners.

In the Windows Lab Technician I role, you will blend traditional systems administration with modern Site Reliability Engineering practices, ensuring seamless provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of hardware engineering lab environments.

Responsibilities

- Support Windows servers and workstations in hardware development labs and data centers
- Using existing automation, deploy Windows and Linux systems following established procedures
- Install servers and similar equipment into server racks or other test fixtures




- Install network and test-fixture cabling following established procedures
- Resolve end-user concerns under the guidance of senior staff

Required Qualifications - basic requirements to be considered

- BA/BS in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or other technical pursuits or Military Service with related Military Occupational Specialty or occupational training or equivalent knowledge
- 4+ years' experience Windows systems administration
- English proficiency, both written and verbal. IET/CEFR/Cambridge C1, TOEFL, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications - what we're looking for

- Experience with Windows systems administration in a hybrid cloud environment
- Experience with Intune, Azure Arc, or similar system management and automation
- Powershell automation
- TCP/IP network fundamentals
- Function of an IP address, Netmask, broadcast address, etc.
- Fundamental understanding of PC hardware
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Excellent organization driving the ability to handle a high-paced work environment

Bonus Experiences - ways to stand out

- Ansible playbook generation and use
- Greylog log management
- Fundamental knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
- Fundamental network knowledge
- Programming, scripting, or other automation skills
- Home lab development
- IT security fundamentals

Work Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Typical base pay for this role across Colombia is 5,400,000 to 6,600,000 per year based on experience and fit.
