Core Objective for this Position:

To lead the preparation of complex defensive filings for clients in EOIR (Immigration Court) proceedings, ensuring that every submission is "trial-ready" with minimal attorney oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drafting & Legal Writing: Prepare high-quality drafts of Asylum, Withholding of Removal, and CAT applications (Form I-589), Cancellation of Removal (EOIR-42B), and Motions to Terminate, Reopen, or Change Venue.
- Evidence Curation: Interview clients remotely to draft compelling, detailed personal declarations. Research and compile Country Conditions Reports and Index of Exhibits.
- Case Management: Maintain the "Master Calendar" for all assigned cases, tracking NTA (Notice to Appear) filings, individual hearing dates, and filing deadlines (e.g., the "one-year bar" for asylum).




- Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for gathering civil documents, criminal records, and medical evidence from clients in high-stress situations.

Required Qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience specifically in U.S. Removal Defense.
- Native or professional-level fluency in Spanish and English.
- Mastery of case management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or Docketwise).
- Available to work during our office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm PST

Additional Desired Qualifications:

· Experience in two or more of the following other immigration processes is a plus: (1) Adjustments of Status; (2) Natz; (3) Consular Processing; (4) Asylum; (5) U visas and VAWA; (6) Complex Waivers.

· Intermediate to advanced ability with Adobe Pro and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.). You are technologically savvy, able to learn new software quickly and troubleshoot on your own.

· Have a demonstrated track record of winning cases with your team.

· Be obsessed with the details. You’re a bit of a perfectionist and spot inconsistencies quickly. (You also know how to relax and have fun, though!)

· Hunger for growth. You seek feedback, and when you receive it, you implement it immediately.

This is a full-time contract and remote position. The contract amount is $2000-$3500 USD per month depending on experience.
