Technical Installation Coordinator — Custom Doors (Remote)

Location: Remote (based in Bogotá, Colombia)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Miami time (U.S. Eastern Time)

Compensation: USD $1,000 / month

Do you know how doors actually get installed — and how to make a whole department run better?

We manufacture high-end custom doors, and we're looking for a technical, hands-on coordinator to run our door installation department remotely. This is not a desk job for a theorist. We need someone who can read a technical drawing, spot why an install went wrong, coordinate crews and suppliers, and keep quality high across every order.

If you understand the practical side of doors, hardware, glass, and installation — and you're organized enough to manage the people and paperwork behind it — this role is for you.

WHO WE ARE

We operate a high-end custom door manufacturing business alongside other ventures, and we're in an active growth phase. The installation department is where quality is won or lost, and we want a dedicated technical coordinator to own it end to end.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Coordinate the Installation Department — Manage installation schedules, crews, and priorities so every job is completed on time and to spec.
- Read and interpret technical drawings — Work from CAD drawings and door specifications to confirm measurements, tolerances, hardware, and glass before and during installation.
- Own quality control — Verify that installations meet our standards, catch problems early, and drive consistency across every order.
- Handle installation claims and issues — When something goes wrong (wrong size, damaged glass, hardware failure), investigate the root cause, resolve it with the customer, and put fixes in place so it doesn't happen again.
- Coordinate with suppliers and clients — Communicate directly and professionally with suppliers, install crews, dealers,



and customers by phone and email.
- Manage large and complex orders — Act as project coordinator for multi-door orders and high-value jobs (over $50K), keeping all moving parts on track.
- Report and improve — Track installation performance, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve the department's processes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Technical background in a field such as Industrial, Mechanical, or related engineering — or equivalent hands-on experience running a shop, factory, or installation operation.
- Ability to read CAD drawings and technical door/hardware specifications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar). This is essential.
- Real, practical knowledge of how things are built, installed, and fixed — not just theory. Experience with doors, carpentry, glass, hardware, machinery, or manufacturing is a strong plus.
- Excellent spoken and written English — you'll be on calls with U.S.-based crews, suppliers, and customers every day. This is non-negotiable.
- Strong problem-solver who stays calm, finds the root cause, and fixes it.
- Organized, autonomous, and accountable — able to run a department with minimal supervision.
- A proper remote work setup: reliable computer, strong and stable internet, a quiet dedicated workspace, and the ability to work full-time on U.S. Eastern (Miami) hours.
